Business Contact Manager (Microsoft Outlook) stops

Issue

Microsoft Business Contact Manager in Outlook stops working after installing TyTags DIY v2 (WIN edition, Barcode Plus or DIY 4ID).

Solution

All versions of TyTags DIY v2 require Windows to have the Microsoft .Net 2.0 update, which is a very common addition to Windows XP and these days comes preinstalled on many computers. During installation of DIY, Windows will automatically be updated with Microsoft .Net 2.0 it if not already on your computer. However, older versions of Microsoft Business Contact Manager are not fully compatible with this Microsoft update. Even though Microsoft has known about this since 2004, it has not provided a fully automatic fix for the problem.

Luckily, it is easy to fix. You simply need to download an update for Business Contact Manager from Microsoft and run it.

Once you have downloaded and run the update, Business Contact Manager and Outlook will run perfectly once again.
